Cubix
A desk that reflects the psychology of working from home during Covid-19 using optical illusions.
When you stand at a particular perspective, the person who is working looks like a small, floating person in a cube.
The pattern on the floor defines a working zone as a way of giving the rest of the family the psychological implication so that subconsciously they will not step into the working zone.
construction
_frame
The frame will be made by 1” recycled aluminium square tube and welded together. to provide structural strength.
_panels
The panels will be made by 1/8” recycled aluminium sheet, and painted together with the frame so it’s seamilless and provides a strong illusion.
_mat
The part on the floor will be made of natural rubber to ensure that it follows the floor while contributing to the fantasy of illusion.
